Dragon Ball Narrator Brice Armstrong Dies At 84
Beloved voice-over actor passed away at his home on January 10th.
Beloved narrator and voice actor Brice Armstrong passed away at his home due to natural causes on 10 January, according to his talent agency Mary Collins Agency. He is survived by his six children, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Marianna, who passed away in 2008.
Armstrong was most famous for his work with Funimation on the Dragon Ball Z series as the voices of Captain Ginyu and Lord Slug, and also provided the voice over for each episode of the Funimation Dub. He also voiced Mr. Takanaka, Master Mitamura, Topaz, and Kuroda in Yu Yu Hakusho and Tim Muroch in Fullmetal Alchemist.
In addition to his legendary Anime work Armstrong did hundreds of radio and TV voice overs, including the voice of Miss Ette Kette on several seasons of the award winning children's show Barney and Friends. He also was part of the Charlie and Harrigan Show on Klif Radio in 1964 and the first live announcer of Good Morning, Texas when it debuted in 1994. In 2004 he was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall Of Fame.
