Drunk History: 5 Reasons To Watch

3. The Format

scott One of the more interesting parts of Drunk History is that the show€™s creator, Derek Waters, chose to focus on a specific city per episode. The first episode focuses on Washington, D.C., with stories about Nixon and Watergate, Nixon meeting Elvis Presley, and the Booth brothers€™ rivalry prior to John Wilkes killing Lincoln. Subsequent episodes focus on cities as varied as Chicago, Atlanta, and Boston. As a result, a well-rounded understanding of the history of the United States, including in-depth stories about specific large cities in the country, is gained. Rather than focusing on a multitude of national stories, DH helps the viewers to learn about the histories of individual cities.
