El Camino: 5 Things We Need To See In Breaking Bad Spin-off

Pray for Pinkman!

Six years on from the explosive season finale of Breaking Bad, we are finally being treated to another much-needed fix from creator and producer, Vince Gilligan.

Despite a relatively satisfactory ending, Breaking Bad left a series of unanswered questions for fans, many of which could well be answered in the upcoming Netflix spin-off, El Camino.

Trailers have hit screens this past week with a multitude of cryptic clips and messages within the footage, and it's safe to say the loyal army of Breaking Bad fans are chomping at the bit to see just what goes down on the 11th October.

The film looks to be firmly centring on the story of the tortured soul of Jess Pinkman, the one man who was seemingly left standing at the end of it all back in 2013.

El Camino has the potential to capture audiences and give us a number of conclusions to things which weren't quite wrapped up by Gilligan and co in the original series.

There is, of course, the potential that it won't live up to the hype and could fall flat on its face. However, there's more than a few areas which can be addressed to ensure El Camino doesn't leave a sour taste in the mouth.

5. A Showdown With Skyler And Marie

While Marie landed one cleanly on Skyler during the final season of Breaking Bad, there's still plenty to be mopped up between the pair, and not least with Jesse involved somewhere along the line.

How on earth does Pinkman explain what has happened, and why, given both women are now husbandless and left to pick up the pieces?

For all Jesse's faults, deep down he is a good guy who just got in with the wrong crowd before being the puppet for Walt and his manipulative ways.

Seeing Jesse rock up at Skyler's or Marie's to deliver his explanation of events and attempt to put things right would be compelling viewing.

Walt, as we all know, was the mastermind, but it's impossible to say Jesse is free of any blame for the catastrophic events which closed the show. Hopefully, he can have his moment with the two most prominent females in the show and begin to work his way towards some form of redemption.
