Every Battlestar Galactica Series And Movies Ranked Worst To Best
1. Razor
They accidentally hit the nail on the head with Razor. Set within Season 2 of the main series, Razor managed to capture the perfect balance between the military lifestyle and the quasi-mystical nature of the show, all while flashing back to both the attacks on the colonies and one of Adama's encounters in the Colonial-Cylon War.
The memory of Admiral Helena Cain looms large over the crew of the Battlestar Pegasus and when Lee Adama is appointed its Commander, he has to navigate it's ghosts. He does this by appointing Kendra Shaw as his executive officer. Shaw was a supporter of Cain and is popular amongst the more ruthless members of the crew, many of whom consider Shaw to be Cain's legacy.
When the Pegasus goes looking for a missing Raptor, they are attacked by ancient Cylon Raiders (which look incredibly familiar to fans of the 1978 show) and this leads the Adama's towards a being that was the very first Cylon and Human Hybrid.
Razor manages to be the entire series in a bottle, perfectly summing up the sense of conflict, loss and exodus that runs throughout the entire franchise.
Battlestar Galactica, as a whole, is currently gone from our screens, but rumours persist of a rebooted effort or a remake movie, with several plans having fallen through already. Should the grand old vessel once again make it onto our screens, we can only hope that it possess the depth and grandeur of Razor and the Re-imagined Series.
So Say We All.
