Every Death In The Simpsons Ranked
16. The Callibricis (The Mook, The Chef, The Wife And Her Homer)
In an episode with a title way too long to repeat, Lisa becomes friends with Michael, son of local mob boss (and list future entry) Fat Tony. Michael isn't keen to follow in his father's footsteps and dreams of becoming a chef, so Lisa vows to help him achieve his goal and stand up to his dad. Unfortunately, this ends pretty badly as Michael ends up using his cooking to murder a rival gang.
The Callibricis (or Calabresis going by some spellings) try to take Fat Tony out earlier in the episode by gunning him down with a helicopter. Nobody ever said the mafia was subtle. They do this after seeing Michael baking soufflés and deciding that he isn't tough enough to exact revenge on them if they kill his old man.
Unfortunately for the mobsters, their plan fails on two accounts. Not only does Fat Tony survive, but the entire gang is wiped out when Michael serves them a poisoned meal, shocking Lisa in the process.
The Callibricis death was a great end to an episode-long narrative, but considering we never see them or Michael ever again, their deaths mean very little in the grand scheme of things.
