Every Love, Death & Robots Episode Ranked

3. The Drowned Giant

The Very Pulse of the Machine
Netflix

The setup for this season two masterpiece is simple: A giant man washes up on beach, his origins and death unexplained, and the locals become obsessed with him until the day he's cleared away.

A mourning meditation on the strangeness of death and humans' inability to properly contemplate or accept it, The Drowned Giant is Love, Death & Robots' at its most introspective and haunting, tackling an idea as complex as mortality with straight-forward beauty.

It's easy to see why this particular episode is more divisive amongst the show's fans, but it's impossible to deny the force with which it sells its observations.
