You'd be forgiven for thinking he was the Clown Prince of Crime with the scarred face and the unpredictable nature of his schemes. Ever since his debut fans and critics speculated he would eventually turn into the iconic villain.

Whether it's leading the Maniax in a murder spree or his many attempts at carving Bruce up, Jerome has consistently been a terrifying presence haunting the city. His recent discovery of his twin brother has brought us a version of the No Mans Land storyline from the comics so there's always that to be grateful for.

His untimely death falling from a rooftop in the final few episodes cemented his twisted ideology into the hearts and minds of the Gothamites he's terrified over the years - perhaps even one crazed individual in particular who could become the 'real' Joker. After all the showrunners have teased for years that Batman's iconic adversary is still lying in wait in the world.
