Tracey Morgan's welcome return to the comedy show format occurred last year, after an arduous few years in his personal life took priority over his career.
The show playfully acknowledged this as Morgan took on the role of an ex-convict, out on release after a 15-year stint. Just like Morgan himself, the character feels like a stranger in a strange land.
The show was a little bit of a mixed bag though. The ensemble and writing are impressive but there's the fair share of misses with the hits. Also, Morgan tends to succeed better as the wild card support instead of the leading man.
Still, when the show works, it really works.
