This cop drama has never broken through in terms of critical recognition but remains a consistently solid (if fairly standard) police show.
One of its major shining points is Titus Welliver as the titular character, with the always reliable actor bringing a captivating layer to his persona's common archetypes.
Another great feature is the show eschewing the procedure format and instead opting for juicy season-long mystery arcs. Some arcs are stronger than others, yet it must be said it is one of the better cop shows currently going.
