Daredevil's second season didn't quite match the dizzying heights of the first, but it did give us the twisted brilliance of Jon Bernthal's take on The Punisher.

Fans have waited a long time for a definitive live-action take on Frank Castle, and Bernthal certainly delivered. Unsurprisingly, demand was immediately high for a solo series, and Netflix are giving the people what they want.

Quite where in the timeline it'll take place isn't clear, but diving deeper into Castle's psyche should make for the darkest and most violent Netflix/Marvel show yet.
