Fake Doctors, Real Friends Podcast: 10 Things We Learned From Bill Lawrence In Episode Three

3. Only One Sound Effect Lasted The Entire Show

When Scrubs first began, to accent the kooky, wacky side of things, Bill Lawrence utilised a lot of sound effects. There were whipping noises when a character turned their head, screeching noises if they rounded a corner too fast, and there was even an actual horn honking when Dr. Cox was making a joke about sex.

Most of these noises were phased out of the show pretty quickly, but there was one that stuck around until the very end. Throughout the show, every time Todd gave anyone a high five, the whiplash sound always came with it.

Since he was supposedly the king of high fives this makes sense, but according to Zach Braff there was no need to make them seem any better than they already were. Rob Maschio really was the king of high fives, and they hurt.
