Family Guy: 5 Reasons Why Brian's Death Kills The Show

4. Stewie And Brian's Chemistry Was Integral To The Show's Success

Brian And Stewie If you look back at the 11 season history of Family Guy's run, two of the most popular characters were Brian and Stewie. The reasoning behind this popularity was that they were probably the best team present on the show. Intellectual peers, Brian would call Stewie out on his megalomania and Stewie would bust Brian for his problems with women/novel writing. You know you have an effective/popular team when almost every season has a musical road trip episode revolving around your popular pair. Even many of the covers to the DVD sets of the show feature one if not the two of them, if not in each other's general proximity. When you have a team like that, you don't break them up without a good reason. There was no reason to kill Brian, so now you have to rely on the other characters who've gotten rather stale over the last 11 years. That's right folks... be prepared for a ton of Meg episodes.
