3. Stewie Is Automatically Rendered Less Funny
When the writers first put Brian and Stewie in a room together, they obviously realised they had a magical combination (even if it is just Seth MacFarlane talking to himself in a room - weird when you think about it like that). In recent years, though, Brian and Griffin's adventures became one of the few things that could get older fans excited about the show. There's something special about the way these two both respect and despise one another, and the resulting banter was rarely ever disappointing. But now Brian is gone, what happens to Stewie? Stewie is probably still the world's favourite Family Guy character, of course, and I'm not suggesting that Stewie can't be funny without Brian. But Brian was the only character in the show who could
hear Stewie talk. Sure, they had great chemistry together anyway, but there was another fundamentally and largely logical reason why the writers had these two teaming up in the first-place. And no matter how the writers contrive a way to have Stewie being funny without his old friend, there's no denying that their friendship became the true heart of the show.
