Original Air Date: September 23rd, 2007 This, of course, was the Star Wars episode that started the entire trilogy off. Family Guy had always thrown in Star Wars gags and mentions up until this point, but this was the first time an entire episode was dedicated to the series. It was historic, and it got everyone talking. The episode parodied the titular Star Wars film, and it followed everything down very closely to the original plot, from characters to dialogue to everything in between. As mentioned for the other two episodes in the trilogy, though, there was still more than enough wiggle room for FG writers to stay true to their product, making for a great blend of the two worlds. If you've never watched Star Wars, it doesn't really matter, as you'd still be able to follow along with the original story here, albeit with more toilet humor and gross-out jokes. Maybe it will get you interested in watching the Star Wars movies, giving you an entirely new obsession to have. It's worth a shot.
