1. L.A. Will Fall In The Final Scene
The fate of each character is obviously still up-in-the-air, but before the season began, one of the biggest questions was: How far will the series run? What would the timescale be? And what would the audience actually get to see? I'd be willing to say the family will remain in L.A. by the end of the finale, and that the final shot will show the definitive fall of the city. The skyline and the city's name is thrust at the audience at every opportunity, so when the creators have been handed the chance to destroy such an iconic part of the world, they're going to showcase it. Imagine a Season 1 ending with no dialogue and no musical score, no focus on the characters, just footage of people being run down in the streets, the sky darkening overhead, helicopters whirring, fires raging, electricity non-existent, and humanity falling. L.A. in flames would be a powerful, lasting image and if the characters are left on a cliffhanger, those components should be enough to attract millions back to the 15-episode Season 2, set to air in 2016.
