Fear The Walking Dead Episode 3: 10 Questions We’re Asking After 'The Dog'

The best episode yet, as Fear continues to spread.

It would be easy to draw a line straight through Fear The Walking Dead and rule out its credibility on the spot. There were many concerns ahead of the new show about whether it was necessary or just another way for AMC to rake in huge money from their successful zombie-infested world. Yes, the latter probably did play a part, with over 10 million viewers tuning in for the pilot episode and 8 million in the second week, but there is far more to the show than just benefitting the network. The story being told is a completely different take on the entire situation, and Episode 3 was the best yet in a solid first season for Fear. We learned more about the Salazar family individuals, Travis came to the fore, and we watched Maddie's frame of mind slowly begin to adapt to the changing world. Nick's addiction storyline is bubbling under the surface, so you can be sure to see plenty more of that in future seasons providing he makes it that far, while Alicia caught her first glimpses of the walkers. And of course, a tense stand-off with the family's neighbour-turned-zombie ended with Daniel ruthlessly finishing him off with the group's newly-acquired shotgun. Things are slow, but it's such a refreshing change of pace from TWD, and long may it continue. As the plot thickens and the army rolls into town, there are plenty of gnawing questions waiting to be answered, so here are 10 of the most important.
