The practical effects team have a proven track record at creating some stunning effects, but during the early stages of the zombie-filled world, the walkers are going to be a lot less rotten, and appear far more human-like. It may seem obvious, but plenty of issues are raised by that simple fact.

A skin and bones, decomposed, falling apart, gruesome zombie would be far easier to eliminate than one who is essentially just another human. Will the group be able to pull the trigger when the time comes? Or will they hesitate at the sight of an intact walker coming towards them...and pay the heaviest price?
