The Flash: 10 Hints At What's To Come

6. Prison Break

Jails have figured heavily in The Flash so far. Nary an episode goes by without Barry Allen reminding us that his father was unfairly imprisoned for the murder of his wife - coupled with flashbacks involving a "man made of lightning" actually doing the crime, and trips to visit the elder Allen where his son promises to get him out of there eventually. Now Barry has the support of surrogate father figure Detective Joe West, which should help, but convincing a court to overturn a decades-old decision on the basis of a supervillain might be tougher. More likely is that Dr Henry Allen will have to be sprung, with the help of his son's burgeoning superpowers. There's also the cell that Kyle Nimbus gets stuck in at the end of the third episode, beneath STAR Labs - that's definitely going to cause trouble, isn't it? Caitlin certainly thinks so. Could this all be part of Wells's nefarious plan? Or might the metahumans they trap down there end up breaking themselves out, mirroring the unmade Green Arrow film Supermax...? (Please say it's the latter, because that would be awesome).
