7. She Ruined Ross' Potential Last Night With Emily
Ross and Emily first met when Ross did a favour for Rachel, like a friend would, by taking Emily to the opera so that Rachel was free to see her new crush, Joshua, at a nightclub.
A true friend might have felt as though they owed Ross a favour after his kind deed, but not Rachel. In fact, she even went one step further and asked for another from Ross on Emily’s last night in the US, by asking him to cancel his romantic plans with her and throw a bogus ‘bon-voyage’ party so she could invite Joshua and attempt to seduce him.
Ross and Emily had a whirlwind romance when she visited America and had quickly fell in love with each other, but Rachel did not care one iota. Yet again, she put her own needs above everyone else’s.
That night could have been the last time Ross ever saw Emily, but Rachel had to gall to ask him to sacrifice that for her.
Rachel showed no remorse for ruining Ross’ night and it would not be the last time she selfishly meddled in Ross and Emily’s relationship.
