Friends: Every Season Finale Ranked Worst To Best

Friends' season four finale is often cited as one of the series' greatest episodes period, packing a myriad of stories and gags into a one-hour, two-part finale. Everything clicked within.

Aside from Ross and Emily's wedding, Joey and Chandler's sightseeing around London was executed brilliantly, with Joey being that tedious tourist type. He recorded everything on his camcorder and purchased a huge Union Jack hat, embarrassing Chandler in the process, though they ultimately reconciled in their hotel.

Chandler wakes up in bed the next morning with Monica, thus officially beginning their blossoming relationship that became a focal point of the show. The reaction of the studio audience to seeing this was raucous; they clearly wanted the moment to be more than just a one-time deal.

As for the actual wedding, it went down as well as any other Ross wedding had before; he was left without a wife, having decreed Rachel's name - who initially declined an invitation after finding it too difficult to see Ross marrying someone else, before flying down anyway - instead of Emily's name. Friends has never seen a greater ending to an episode.

It was emotional, it was exciting, and it left you with a hook for season five; this was Friends at its best.
