One of the greatest aspects is the characters themselves. The gang were so tight-knit that they were closer than family, and a lot of that came down to the women of the group, Rachel Green, Monica Geller, and Phoebe Buffay.
The three best friends are similar in so many ways, which is of course why they grew to be so close. However, they're also incredibly different. Rachel is the vain, materialistic career woman, Monica is the compulsive neat freak, and Phoebe is the spacey, weird, free spirit.
