Ross, Rachel and Monica might be great characters - and nobody is saying they're not - but when it comes to comedy moments in Friends, the other three characters stand head and shoulders above them.
Joey is a loveable, dim-witted hunk with as much of a taste for pizza and the Knicks as he has for promiscuous sex, Phoebe is a cookie hippie with a heart of gold DESPITE everything she's been through and Chandler is somehow both a sarcastic loser and the most successful of the entire group. At least professionally.
All of them add different types of comedy to the mix, from dark sardonic comments to slapstick silliness to occasionally very strange quirkiness. And we love them all dearly for everything they ever said or did.
