Monica reluctantly agrees to make a Thanksgiving dinner, after initially planning not to, when the rest of the gang all beg to to. However, Joey and Ross decide to go to a New York Rangers game, and Phoebe and Rachel take Emma to a beauty pageant, and they all end up late and locked out of the apartment.

It doesn't matter in the end though, because Monica and Chandler get a rather important phone call. The meat of this episode (and I don't mean the turkey that Monica didn't want to cook), isn't actually all that great, but it's a means to a wonderful end. First of all, when the gang arrive back in the hallway, the rock-paper-scissors-fire game is fun, as is the sight of Joey's giant hand and Ross having his shirt torn, while we're also treated to the floating heads trying to force their way through the door.

But what really makes this episode stand out is Monica and Chandler finding out they're finally going to be parents, and the sheer emotional joy the group share at the end is pure Friends.

Quote: Not an actual line of dialogue, rather Joey's "weird eye-contact thing" deserves the mention here.
