Full House: 10 Moments That Show Michelle Tanner Was A Terrible Person

8. It's OK To Cheat If It Proves Misogyny Wrong

Season 7: "Michelle a la Carte" One of the most popular "tropes" or "cliches" in television sitcom writing is: "girl must beat boy to prove that girls are just as good as boys." And thus is the case with Michelle and her soapbox derby race car, a car her Aunt Becky assists in building. After some good-natured ribbing from Danny and Jesse about girls being no-good at building stuff, Michelle- who lacks the human ability to recognize sarcasm- tried to quit, but Becky wouldn't let her; especially after some nasty little jerk named Kenny made fun of her for being a girl. Becky and Michelle embraced their womanhood and entered their car in the race and- as a special bonding over said-womanhood- Becky gifted Michelle with a pre-race rose, which Michelle attached to her car for luck. Unfortunately, as per the rules of the All-America Soap Box Derby Association:
A-7.06: Altering, modifying or tampering with the floorboard, shell, or any other hardware is prohibited and means for disqualification.
Attaching a rose to the front-end of a car to add to its length would and should have been grounds for disqualification. Instead, Michelle won via a photo-finish that clearly showed she only won because the rose crossed the finish line first. Kenny, who had won the race the last several years, was never seen again. And Michelle, proving once and for all that no rules apply to her, never drove another soapbox derby car again.
