Futurama: 10 Worst Things The Planet Express Crew Ever Did
Mistreatment, maiming, and murder.
Any good TV show has to be built around a strong cast of characters. They have to be relatable, and need to give us a reason to root for them, to invest and actually care what happens to them. With a few exceptions, usually these characters are fundamentally good, but that doesn't mean they can't do bad, sometimes horrible things.
Where most cartoon shows are based around a typical yet dysfunctional American family, Futurama is based around a work family. Fry, Leela, Bender, Amy, Hermes, Zoidberg, and the Professor make up Planet Express, and with the exception of one alcoholic robot, they are all generally good people.
Yet, just like any other characters, they have their moments of weakness. Whether it's shooting down a friend's romantic advances in the harshest way possible, letting a woman get between them, or accidentally causing the murder of billions of baby aliens, the Planet Express crew are far from perfect.
Through eight seasons, four movies, and over 100 episodes, of course these seven characters have done bad things, however some are far worse than others, and some are very close to irredeemable.
10. Leela Flushed Fry’s Heartfelt Letter Down The Toilet

Leela’s heritage was long kept a mystery in the world of Futurama. Thought to be an alien, and the last of her kind, the Planet Express captain had always been alone, until Leela’s Homeworld. It was in this episode that she learned that she wasn’t an alien at all, she was and always had been a mutant.
While running through the sewers, Fry, Bender, and Leela stumbled across some sort of shrine to the latter, with pictures and newspaper clippings. Built by her parents to remember her, the room also prominently featured the best things she ever flushed down the toilet.
Pages from her diary, her screenplay, and a letter full of Fry’s personal thoughts and feelings. Leela’s admirer was never any good at expressing his love for her, though she was ultimately won over by his moving of the stars themselves, and his touching musical written for her.
Clearly there was something romantic in Fry, and if Leela had actually read the love letter instead of flushing it down the toilet, maybe they'd have ended up together a lot sooner. Seriously, who flushes a love letter down the toilet?!
