1. What Are The White Walkers' Motives?

Okay, those ice guys can raise the dead, command storms and not die when slashed by hardened steel, but what do they actually want? Their culture, their 'lifestyle', their motives remain utterly mysterious, but surely they must have some reason for wanting to overthrow Westeros? They may just be after sheer control of the land, but I'd like to think A Song Of Ice And Fire/Game Of Thrones is leading to some greater than a simple case of just 'these bad guys want to kill you all'. Personally, I think there needs to be a reason for their wanton slaughter, and if handled correctly, the White Walkers could be some of the most ingeniously built-up TV villains in history. Yes, that good. Will we ever find out more about them?
