Stannis Baratheon is almost certainly dead now, and most of that has to do with this insufferable character: Melisandre. Otherwise known as "The Red Woman," Melisandre is just about the most irksome creation in all of Game Of Thrones history. Not only does she appear to be some kind of charlatan, having forced Stannis to a bunch of terrible things across the span of the show (including murdering his daughter), her annoying attempts to seduce the men is jarring. Melisandre is such a vague and uninteresting character - one whose agenda has never been laid out properly or with enough to detail to make us care - that it's really hard to justify having her hanging around all the time. Next season, she's got to go... unless, of course, it turns out that she has a major part to play with regards to the return of Jon Snow. Actually, even then she should still die. What's the point in having a character around for so long that a) nobody likes (or loves to hate) and b) does the same thing in every episode? Like this article? Agree or disagree with our choices? Think any of these characters should live beyond season six? Let us know in the comments section below.
