1. Jon Snow Will Realise His True Potential

Parallels can be drawn between Jon Snow and Daenerys in the fact that they're both stuck in places they need to escape in order to realise their full potential. They could also be seen as the metaphorical "fire and ice" in the book series' title, but while we know Daenerys is going to feature heavily, Jon's future is unknown, and his importance lives or dies with his name. After all, we still don't know who Jon Snow really is, as his mother has not yet been revealed, despite several cast and crew members pointing out its importance to the story. Jon's 'bastard' tag is holding him to Castle Black, but if he were to be given a true name (Stannis did offer to make him a Stark), he could loophole his way towards marching on Winterfell with a wildling army at his side - after treating their leader Mance Rayder with a respectfully quick death he could wind up getting their full respect. On the other hand, he could choose to stay on the Wall. With the Lord Commander position up for grabs Jon could look to recruit the wildlings from that position of power.
