Game Of Thrones - 10 Fantasy Fights All Fans Want To See

4. The Hound Vs. Bronn

Mountain Hodor
HBO

We were so close! So close to seeing The Hound take on Bronn in the second season as the two much-loved characters squared up to each other in a tavern right before Stannis' army sailed into the Blackwater.

It was a mouthwatering prospect of a fight. The chance for Bronn to prove that speed really was more advantageous than power. Both characters had a deep disliking of each other, with Bronn's wit, sarcasm and cockiness constantly getting under The Hound's scarred skin. Had they fought it would have probably gifted us one of the most memorable bouts in the show's history.

Technically, although incredibly unlikely, the fight could still happen. Both characters are thankfully still alive, both of them seemingly immortal after getting through many close calls. But with The Hound marching on The Wall with the Brotherhood Without Banners and Bronn still buddying up with Jaime Lannister, both characters are on other sides of Westeros. However, if George R. R. Martin really wanted to give us a fight that was teased so long ago, he is the sort of writer that will find a way to deliver.

The Winner: Bronn

It was tempting to call this a draw, but that would be a cop out, wouldn't it? Bronn's speed can only take him so far, but he's more sly and intelligent than The Hound, and would be able to take advantage of Sandor Clegane's inherent rage when fighting. If unable to find a quick opening to make short work of The Hound, he would be able to use his stamina to tire out his much larger opponent and exploit his lack of energy.

Equally as likely is the two characters, both badly injured and tired after a brawl, would set aside their differences and find the closest tavern to drink the pain away together.
