Daenerys was gifted the dragon eggs, but don't be fooled into thinking they're the only three in the world. It's mentioned that traders in the East have possession of the items. If I were one of those owners of a dormant dragon egg and heard that a certain Queen could hatch them, I'd be hopping in my car (or horse) and making the trek right now. Magic is slowly creeping back into the world, and Daenerys clearly has some of that, as proven by her ability to sit in a blazing fire and not turn into barbecued meat. If she's able to hatch and amass an army of dragons, the war tips in her favour with the White Walkers looming.
