Game Of Thrones: 10 Last Minute Predictions For Season 8
7. Bronn Joins Cersei's Side, But Doesn't Get His Castle
Where is Bronn?
It's a reasonable question, because he didn't appear in the trailer, and there's been no sign of him during any of the promos so far. Jerome Flynn, meanwhile, has teased that we won't necessarily like what he does in Season 8.
Combined with the fact he was still in King's Landing at the end of Season 7, with Jaime riding away solo, then the chances are that he has well and truly committed to Cersei's side. And really, from Bronn's point-of-view, it's a no-brainer. He's a sellsword, and has already worked for Tyrion and then Jaime. Pledging to another Lannister isn't going to be a big deal for him. She's hiring the Golden Company, the biggest, most famous, and richest sellsword company going, so it fits Bronn's character that he'd want a slice of that pie, and could even be made commander of the Lannister army in Jaime's absence (although don't expect to see Bronn and Cersei share the screen). Bronn didn't want to face the Mountain, so he's not going to want to face the dead.
Unfortunately, it's also unlikely to end well for him. While it would be great to see Bronn get his castle, it does instead feel like his story ends with him dying in battle - perhaps with one honourable move to save Tyrion.
