Game Of Thrones: 10 Minor Characters With Big Roles To Play In The Finale

5. Kevan Lannister

It's surprising that Kevan Lannister hasn't been involved more throughout the series, but he's been an underlying character now for the majority of the show, appearing in Seasons 1, 2 and 5, and with Lannisters thin on the ground, he's one of the few remaining contenders to defend his family. He clashed with Cersei after she appointed herself to the head of the small council while Tommen learns from her, and Kevan refused to see her as any more than just the Queen Mother. After her arrest, things look set to change. Kevan returned to the capital after receiving word from Grand Maester Pycelle, proving that he is loyal to the throne, not Cersei. He's overseeing the small council now, and suddenly appears to be one of the most powerful men around, even though he's yet to be seen in his new position of power. Expect him to pop up, with a greater role to play in Season 6.
