Game Of Thrones: 10 Moments That Prove Stannis Was The Mannis

1. When It Turns Out He€™s Still Alive?

After uttering his final words, Brienne swings her sword, and then it cuts away. We never actually get to see Stannis die on-screen, which means there is a chance he is still alive. It could even be those last words that saved him. When Brienne really stops to consider it, is killing Stannis actually her duty? She was a part of Renly€™s Kingsguard, but that doesn€™t mean she is sworn to avenge him. Her vow, meanwhile, was to Catelyn Stark. Perhaps this mention of duty made her reconsider, and she didn€™t kill him after all. It€™s not all that likely, mostly since another death from the finale is probably going to be reversed, and having two would just make it seem like anyone can come back. But still, it isn€™t a possibility to totally rule out until we see the body. If he is still living, he could continue on his quest for the Iron Throne (despite numerous setbacks), actually join forces with Brienne, or even take the black, as there€™s a vacancy for Lord Commander, and he is certainly qualified.
