Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'Hardhome'

2. Will The Series' Grand Finale Be 'Living vs. Dead'?

The theme of the show is 'who will win the Iron Throne?' when all along it has actually been 'can anybody stop the white walkers?' as the show opens up a world of possibilities for the grand finale. Ultimately, it doesn't matter who sits on the Throne if the walkers are on he march. Hardhome gave fans the clearest message yet that when the show eventually comes to its end, it could be a straight shoot out between the dead and the living, the white walkers and the humans - possibly led by Daenerys - or in other words, A Song Of Ice And Fire, the name of the book series. It would be an immense finale to see the entire Seven Kingdoms rise up united, forgetting feuds and everything that has gone before. Lannisters marching with Starks, marching with Boltons, marching with Tyrells, marching with the Dornish people, all spearheaded by Daenerys' dragons and the wildlings' giants in one last stand. How amazing would that be? Of course, that's all easier said than done, and while many were obviously wary about the walkers' threat, Episode 8 changed the whole dynamics of the show. Southern squabbles are pointless compared to what lies beyond the Wall.
