Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Already Know About Season 6

5. Tyrion & The Red Priestess

It's been far too long since Tyrion has been able to exercise his talent for ruling, and with Daenerys nowhere to be found after her escape with Drogon, the fifth season ended with the responsibilities of maintaining the peace in Mereen on Tyrion's shoulders. Obviously this is both exciting and nerve-wracking, as Tyrion will be ruling a city whose foreign customs he has no actual experience with. Needless to say, it will be a true test of his leadership abilities. There's really no way of knowing what is going to happen in this storyline next year, but thanks to the recent audition leak, there is one scene you can expect to see. The leaked audition features an actress reading for the part of a Red Priestess named Kinvara. Translated from Portuguese, the scene involves a discussion between Tyrion, Varys, and Kinvara. Tyrion wants her and other followers of the Lord of Light to convince the people of Meereen to maintain peace and order while Daenerys is gone. She complies, believing that Daenerys is the lord's chosen saviour against the coming darkness. There is also talk of Stannis, who, given the events of this past season, is obviously not the promised saviour, despite the proclamations made by fellow Red Priestess Melisandre. Varys questions why Kinvara's visions should be trusted given this fact, to which she reminds him of his mutilation and the mysterious voice he heard when his parts where thrown into the fire. Considering the frequency and accuracy of the auditions leaked every year, it's a safe bet that this is a legitimate scene from next season. It offers a glimpse into Tyrion's method of maintaining peace and highlights the increasing importance the religion of R'hllor will have as the story inches closer to its conclusion.
