Game Of Thrones: 10 Ways Cersei Could Die

2. Her Unborn Child Kills Her In Childbirth

Let's be perfectly honest here, Cersei does not deserve a happy ending. Even with her Walk Of Shame, the death of her children and the emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of King Robert (who she genuinely seemed to love), she's irredeemable as a character and she will surely get what's coming to her sooner or later.

In the grand scheme of things, Game of Thrones giving her a shot of happiness in the form of her and Jaime's newest child (which she definitely hasn't made up despite some odd suggestions) is no more than misdirection before her fall. It is designed to add even more weight to the final revelation of her fall, and given the show's fascination with morbid irony, it will be the very thing that kills her.

Unfortunately for Cersei, Maggy The Frog's prophecy expressly forbids her from having more than three living children (which, tragically is partly why she's so delighted as she thinks it breaks the prophecy). In reality, she's probably not going to see the child live, and given the fluid definition of "Valonqar", we could even see Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella's "little brother" kill Cersei as she tries to bring it into the world.

On top of that, Cersei dying in childbirth would be a sort of vengeance for Tyrion, as Cersei always blamed the "little monster" for killing her mother - leading to her mistreatment of him. That being revisited on her also sounds like a very Thrones way to go.
