Game Of Thrones: 12 Things You Learn Rewatching Season 4
7. The Vale Is More Interesting Than Remembered
When thinking of the Vale in Season 4, the thing that most sticks out is Lysa Arryn's face as she falls through the Moon Door, having been pushed to her death by Petyr Baelish.
It's an undeniably brilliant moment, but what's quite striking about watching Season 4 back five years on is just how good the rest of the Vale storyline is as well. Yes, there's some creepy s**t at play with Littlefinger, but this is really the season where Sansa goes into another gear as a player of the game, and her speech to the Lords about Lysa is a real turning point in particular, with some of Sophie Turner's best delivery in the series.
The Vale wouldn't get too much focus beyond this, since they decided to have Sansa marry Ramsay, but during Season 4 we really get a true sense of the place and its inhabitants (Robin is still awful), while getting some superb development for Sansa and discovering the truth of the murder that kick-started the entire series.
