7. The Northern Lords

How They Die: Led by their new King in the North, the united Northern houses will charge into battle against the White Walkers. But as previously stated, this will be less of a battle and more of a massacre. They'll put up a good fight, and with Jon, Brienne and possibly Sam's Valyrian steel swords, they might even take out a Walker or two. But the casualties will be great, including the few lords whose names we know, like Robett Glover and, yes, even poor Lyanna Mormont.
Why It's Their Time: This is Game of Thrones, so it's not like Jon's reign as King in the North would be a happy one. These poor souls will be the sacrifice in order to show just how desperate the fight with the White Walkers really is. In one fell swoop, the undead army to decimate the largest resistance against them.
What It Means For The Show: This will be one of the darker moments in the show. Like Hardhome and The Red Wedding, this will be a crushing scene in which the heroes truly lose. It will also be a turning point, convincing Jon this isn't a battle the North can win alone. It will force him to turn to some unexpected allies.
