Does Tywin Lannister really sh*t gold?

It’s a question Tyrion provides an answer to, as he finally takes revenge on his father. Not just for sleeping with Shae, the whore he loved, but for his entire life, the way his father treated him and wished he’d never had him, as seen in Peter Dinklage’s absolutely show-stopping speech earlier in the season.

He confronts Tywin while he’s on the toilet, and after a terse exchange he puts a couple of crossbow bolts in him. It’s a great moment for everyone’s favourite dwarf, but one that serves as a totally shocking end to the season and shakes up the balance of power in King’s Landing.

Turns out the oft-repeated jape was just another lie.
