Game Of Thrones: 18 Most Outrageous Moments So Far
3. For The Watch
Jon Snow can’t die. If any character can’t die, it’s Jon. He’s a main character and a fan-favourite; he’s widely believed to be more important than first thought (R+L=J) and one of the possible representations of ice in the saga’s title; and, oh, wait, this is Game of Thrones, and yeah, he’s dead.
Called away by Olly under the pretence of news about his uncle Benjen (f**k Olly), he heads straight into a mutiny led by Ser Alliser Thorne. Because of his increasing allegiances with the wildlings, risking his own life and those of other brothers to save them, they decided to take action “for the Watch.”
Thus they queue up to take turns stabbing him straight in the stomach, with Olly delivering the final blow (f**k Olly). As season 5 comes to end, Jon lies dead in a pool of his own blood. Of course, as much as any character can die, plenty can come back, and it’s expected he will somehow be getting a resurrection in the future. As it stands though he is, as director David Nutter put it to President Obama: “Deader than dead.”
