Game Of Thrones: 25 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References You Need To See

6. Famous Swords

Regardless of however many swords Littlefinger has counted in the Iron Throne, what€™s clear is that there€™s a lot of €˜em. And within the big melded mess of steel are a couple of blades taken straight from other epics. These include Orlando Bloom€™s sword from the Ridley Scott film Kingdom of Heaven, and the weapon known as the Robin of Locksley, said to have belonged to Robin Hood. The most notable of these though is Glamdring, Gandalf€™s sword from Lord of the Rings. While there€™s obviously a necessity to these being included - they were probably going spare in the props cupboard - it can also be seen as a nod to these other films, especially the inclusion of the wizard's weapon.
