Game Of Thrones: 5 Fan Theories Confirmed By Season 6 (And 5 That Were Bullsh*t)

1. R+L=J&M

Maybe because R+L=J was too perfect a theory, with so much overwhelming evidence, fans found a number of ways to try and debunk it, or at least alter it. One of the most common was by having it be two children that Lyanna gave birth to (a tinfoil theory suggested Ramsay...), and the biggest contender was Meera Reed.

After all, she's a character we don't really know all that much about, and she's the daughter of Howland Reed, the mysterious man who was the only other person besides Ned to come away from the Tower of Joy alive, and until Bran's vision perhaps the only person in Westeros who knew the truth. So, what if he too had taken on a burden, and that Lyanna had given birth to Meera? That's why we've never seen Howland (his appearance might give too much away), and how Meera was sent to protect Bran, her relative. Heck, her and Jon do even look alike.

Alas, we witnessed the Tower scene, and there was only one baby born, as it should be. R+L=J, and there's no M, or any other letter, in the equation.
