Game Of Thrones: 5 Fan Theories Confirmed By Season 6 (And 5 That Were Bullsh*t)
4. The Hound Is Still Alive
Since Brienne went to the Quiet Isle in the books, and spotted a gravedigger with a limp, who was bigger than her, had his face covered, and displayed an affinity for dogs, fans have been speculating it was the Hound - especially since the scene was accompanied with some carefully selected wording about the Hound being dead, but Sandor Clegane simply at peace.
For fans of the show, there was nothing so overt, but the theories persisted nonetheless thanks to a golden rule of this golden age of TV: if we don't completely see their death, they're probably still alive. So it proved to be for Sandor.
He was found by Brother Ray (Elder Brother in the books, though Ian McShane's character was amalgamated with Septon Meribald), and is now a much more peaceful soul... or at least, he was for about 50 minutes, until Ray is killed and the Hound goes off to get vengeance. So good to have you back Sandor.
