Game Of Thrones: 5 Ups And 5 Downs From Hardhome

8. Sansa Gets Through To Theon - Up

The show would€™ve had a hard job making things even worse for Sansa, after forcing her to marry Ramsay, having her repeatedly brutalised by him, and the only person to have thus far offered her any support or kindness being flayed alive. There€™s a brief upturn for her then, finally, as she finally manages to make a tiny crack in Reek€™s facade to allow just the smallest hint of Theon Greyjoy to peek through: no, he reveals, he never killed her brothers Bran and Rickon. At last, Sansa gets some good news. At last, Theon regrows what he had cut off back in Season 3 and tells the truth. At last, there's a ray of optimism beginning to shine through the pitch black darkness of Sansa€™s life. There€™s also the prospect of Ramsay leaving Winterfell to ride into battle with Stannis, as well as the weapon she pocketed last week, so things are looking up for Sansa Stark. That probably means something is going to go horribly wrong for her again next week, but for now she deserves this fleeting moment of happiness, or relief, or whatever it is she€™s feeling.
