Game Of Thrones: 7 Best Moments From Oathkeeper

2. Bran Captured By The Mutineers

This episode caught us up with the mutineers at Craster€™s Keep, and it isn€™t pretty. Karl, the man who killed Craster himself, is running things; letting the men have their way with Craster's daughters and drinking wine from Commander Mormont's skull! Bran, Hodor, and the Reeds just happen to be camped nearby, and when Rast is sent out to sacrifice Craster's last son, Bran hears the child's screams and wargs into Summer to investigate. This eventually gets them all captured, and Bran is forced to reveal his identity to delay any harm coming to them. This entire subplot is not from the books, which marks it as one of the biggest deviations from the source material at this point. However, Bran running into the mutineers isn't exactly surprising given how little material his storyline has left to work with at this point, and it also gives him something to do besides walk while also fleshing out the mutineers story. It should be said that it is quite strange to see Bran in such a situation; this subplot is actually quite disturbing even by Game of Thrones standards. Poor Hodor is taunted and injured, Ghost and Summer are captured, and Bran, Meera, and Jojen are threatened with violence and sexual assault. There is light at the end of the tunnel though, as Jon should be arriving at Craster's Keep soon, which means we could be looking at a potential Stark reunion; another significant deviation. Can't wait to see how this one plays out in the next episode.
