Game of Thrones: 7 Dead Or Missing Characters Who Could Return

7. Syrio Forel

Arya Stark€™s €˜dance instructor€™ didn't actually die on screen; he was just left in a rather sticky situation: surrounded by Meryn Trant and his armed guards, with only a wooden sword to defend himself. While that would mean certain death for most men Syrio was/is the First Sword of Braavos, after all. There is a lot of speculation as to Syrio€™s current life status, and indeed his true identity. Is it merely coincidence that, not long after his disappearance, another Braavosi with an inherent interest in helping Arya appeared? If Syrio is indeed a Faceless Man, and he and Jaqen H€™ghar are one and the same, then it€™s not beyond the realms of possibility that we€™ll see the former return as well during Arya€™s training. If they aren€™t the same, then with Jaqen appearing in The House of Black and White, there€™s a chance that Syrio could take over Jaqen€™s (suspected) role in the books, which sees him at the Citadel first as The Alchemist, and then possibly pretending to be the novice Pate in order to learn something. Given the popularity of the character, combined with the lack of definitive death scene, there€™s still every chance he could return. After all, what do we say to the God of Death?
