Game Of Thrones: 7 Most Agonizing Twists (And Whether They Were Worse Than The Books)

2. Littlefinger€™s Betrayal

littlefinger's betrayal The Show Ned refuses two offers of a different and less honorable path, then trusts Littlefinger to carry out his plan. Shockingly, trusting the man who told him not to trust anyone€”least of all him€”turns out badly, and Ned finds his guards slaughtered before his eyes and a knife at his throat. The Book It actually plays out almost the same. Littlefinger €œsmiles apologetically€ and says €œI did warn you not to trust me, you know.€ The only real difference is that all the dead men have names. Verdict: The Show This goes back to seeing it versus reading it. It€™s a twist that€™s slightly harder to predict while watching because it seems impossible that it not work. Ned never considers what would happen if his plan didn€™t work, and hopefully neither do the viewers. Until the fade to black
