Even more isolated than Jon Snow at the Wall has been Daenerys across the Narrow Sea. With only a few Westerosi in her plot, much of the dialogue subtitled from invented languages, and most of her knowledge of the Seven Kingdoms coming from highly biased sources, everything about her mission to claim the Iron Throne has felt distinctly foreign and all the more impractical for it. At the end of the day, Dany just doesn't know what she's in for if she ever leaves Meereen.

For now, anyway.

As it turns out, Varys had a plan when he sent - and ultimately joined - Tyrion into exile across the Narrow Sea. The claims of his motives to serve the realm have apparently long centered on restoring the Targaryen dynasty to the Seven Kingdoms. With Varys and Tyrion heading toward Meereen, the Mother of Dragons may finally learn enough of the political climate of Westeros to turn her sights toward home.
