Joffrey's character is evil on every level. From page to screen, every second spent reading about or seeing Joffrey is time you'll find yourself getting riled up. The boy is a sheer menace, with not even a shard of goodness in him, and Jack Gleeson absolutely nailed his part in the show. But that didn't stop him from acting beyond what was necessary. You'll notice in multiple throne room scenes that when another character is talking, Gleeson doesn't break his eye contact with whoever is 'on trial'. He'll throw in some curt head shakes, abundant scowls and basically pulls out every trick in the book for you to hate him even more.
