Game Of Thrones: 9 Early Predictions For Season 7

7. Jorah Will Meet A Tragic End

Game of Thrones has many tragic figures, and something they have in common is that they meet their end in a pretty horrific fashion (Shireen, Hodor).

Jorah may not share their innocence, but he does share in their tragic nature; exiled from his homeland, in love with a Queen who'll never feel the same way, banished long after he's proven his loyalty, contracts greyscale and keeps it a secret, all to get back to her, and finally bids a tearful farewell in search of a cure.

While that may set things up for him to discover the cure and come back and save the day, it's probably not how it's going to go down (Thrones started leaning into traditional fantasy trappings a little more this year, but not enough for that really).

I do think we'll probably see Jorah one last time, but it won't be good. The greyscale is taking over his body, and so far a cure has never been discovered, and it's hard to see one being found for Jorah. We'll probably have a last scene of him and Daenerys, because they need a more concre... um, final goodbye, but there's a good chance we'll be saying goodbye to Jorah in Season 7 as he fully turns to stone. Westeros will just have to hope he doesn't cause a greyscale outbreak while he's at it.
